Antibiotics - quinolone?

the mechanism of action is the same as the mode of action ?

does anyone knows the mode of action of quinolone antibiotics?
I think that mechanism and mode are synonyms.

Quinolone antibiotics are wide spectrum antibiotics, used in treatment of urinary infections, respiratory infections (especially for those caused by pseudomonas), and other infections that are severe, and difficult to treat with other antibiotics. They cause inhibition of enzyme topoisomerases II, and in that way they stop the transcription and replication of microorganism (which this enzyme enables).
